J & E Regan (Builders & Contractors) Ltd was registered on 3rd October 1983, almost 24 years ago. The directors at that time were James and Edward Regan; Tony Regan joined the Company in 1986 and was appointed a Director in 1987. Paul Crane joined us in 1998 to set up and manage our Plymouth Office and was appointed a director in 2003. From its inception the Company has endured the various highs and lows of the Construction Industry, always maintaining its high standards for an ever increasing Client Base. At present this includes all the local District Councils in Cornwall, Devon and Cornwall County Council, Plymouth and Exeter City Councils and most Housing Associations in Devon & Cornwall which includes an association with The Guinness Trust which has lasted over 20 years. We also work with leading Commercial and Industrial Clients. As a complement to our Construction activities we have a Planned Maintenance and Decorating division and an in house Joinery Workshop all with a directly employed labour force of highly skilled people. |
J & E Regan are a local company employing local people for the good of the local economy, as they have been throughout the last quarter of a century. The Company has an enviable record of training and has trained 4/5 apprentices each year since the mid eighties, split between Masons, Carpenters and Painters. Many of these apprentices have qualified and remain with us and for some we have been their only employer. We have always taken the issues of safety and quality very seriously and our safety record is excellent for such a potentially dangerous industry. We employ external safety consultants (SSG Group – Plymouth) to monitor our weekly performance on the ground and advise on all aspects of safety and welfare. From its humble beginnings in 1983 The Company has grown at a steady and uncompromising pace, it now employs approximately 150 people throughout Cornwall and Plymouth, still maintaining its ‘Family Business’ reputation and hands on and non-contentious approach by the Directors.

Our Head Office, Storage Depot, and Joinery Shop are at Redruth, and cover the area from Mid Cornwall to Lands End. We have another Office and Warehouse in Saltash to service North Cornwall, Plymouth and South Devon. |
